Our prayer is that you would be blessed and strengthened by the power of Jesus Christ and that you will live a life of abundance in fellowship, joy and freedom. Asquith Church of Christ is here for you. It is not just a building. It is a fellowship of believers coming together to declare the glory of the Lord and celebrate Jesus as King. God’s Great Love for Us

God created us, but we have strayed away from Him. The Bible says “There is none righteous, not even one.” (Romans 3:10) In this condition we are what the Bible calls ‘lost’ from God. We are spiritually cut off from Him, and there is no way we can repair the damage our pride and selfishness has caused. We are actually in a perilous position, because if we were to die in this state we would be eternally lost from God.

That’s the bad news!

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) There is no way out on our own, so because He loves us and wants us to be with Him, God found a way out for us. Jesus Christ left heaven to live on the earth for a time, and then take the punishment for our misdeeds upon Himself.

That’s the good news!

By admitting our sinfulness and relying on the truth that Jesus died in our place, we can be spiritually cleansed. As a result we are also given eternal life. That means we will live forever with God in His amazing and perfect home. The Bible says all this beautifully and simply:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Why not accept God’s amazing gift today?
