Our Mission & Vision
The mission of Asquith Church of Christ is to love God and to love others. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers and to do all that is possible to magnify the name of Jesus Christ.
LEADERSHIP TEAM:
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are servants of Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of God’s Words to us. Our goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry and to attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Pastor Andrew Maxwell
Pastor Andrew has a passion for prayerfully teaching the truths of Scripture. He and his wife, Debbie have 3 children. Scott is studying at Moore College to be a minister, is married to Keely and they have a beautiful baby, Josiah John. Ashleigh is doing a Master of Divinity at Sydney Missionary Bible College and serves part-time as Children’s Pastor at New Life Community Church, Rydalmere. Landon is completing a diploma from Australian College of Natural Therapies.
John Cantlay
John heads up our Pastoral Care outreach. Our church cares about what you are going through and we have a strong prayer and care ministry at work to offer support.
Chris Seddon
Chris is in charge of Discipleship within the church. He and Lois Houston look after our various Care groups (to which you are warmly invited!) He also has a passion for missions and runs the missions spot every month.
Jun Bantatua
Jun oversees our Outreach/Evangelism activities. We want to let our local community know that God sent His Son, Jesus to be the Savior of the world. When you put your faith in Jesus, you will find new purpose and meaning in life.
Phil Smith
If you check out our church, you may notice that we have been doing some renovations. Phil is in charge of church property and it’s starting to look pretty good! However, looking good on the outside is not as important as being right with God on the inside. Phil and the other leaders will be glad to talk to you about that. Phil also oversees administration.
Ron Hill
He’s the man to go to when we host an event. This may include Family Fun Days, Seminars, Carols, etc. Of course, he doesn’t do it all by himself – he has a wonderful team of people who help make these events uplifting to all who come and honouring to God.
